National Academy committee

The UIDP mentioned earlier re the Caltech day on April 16 is actually a group commissioned by the National Academy of Engineering through the GUIRR (howze that for a great acronym?).  GUIRR stands for Government-University-Industry Research Roundtable.  For their website, see http://sites.nationalacademies.org/pga/uidp/index.htm, where it shows the agenda for the next general meeting, the one at Caltech, for April 16-18.  Great companies -- Boeing, Agilent, Intel, Pfizer, Monsanto, Samsung, Wellspring, Elsevier, Dow, Deere -- all pretty wellknown names, plus some newer ones, along with some great university folk and of course NSF and NAE participants.

One privilege for InnovaScapes Institute is that our book, The HP Phenomenon: Innovation and Business Transformation, will be distributed to all attendees.  This book, virtually unheralded at publication (Stanford University Press doesn't exactly tout their books, ala the Harvard Business Press), got a very nice review in IEEE Annals this past spring by Jeffrey Yost (Babbage Institute):
